Meet The Staff
|

Ladd Waldo has been a CPA since 1973 and obtained a Masters of Business Administration. After completing several years with a Big 4 CPA firm as an audit supervisor, he has devoted his career to not-for-profits. He has served as a Chief Financial Officer for hospitals, a liberal arts college, a hospice and Rotary International. His career has taken him from Detroit to Iowa and Chicago before landing in Sarasota over four years ago. He was appointed President & CEO of Easter Seals Southwest Florida early in 2010. He and his wife Sally have four children and seven grandchildren. |

Dr. Kameron Partridge Hodgens is the Vice President of Programs and Services for Easter Seals Southwest Florida. She is a native to Sarasota, born and raised just down the road from the Easter Seals Braden Avenue campus. Dr. Hodgens graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Psychology and Special Education and received both her M.A. and her Ph.D. in Lifespan Developmental Psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is not only a professional in the field, but also as a family member with disabilities. Her older brother Thad has Down syndrome and autism, and continues to be an inspiration to her both personally and professionally.

Ashley Canesse is the Vice President of Philanthropy at Easter Seals Southwest Florida. She has a lifelong passion and dedication to helping children and families triumph over challenges and adversity.
Ashley believes that giving to Easter Seals is an investment in the quality of life for others. “We invite our community to tour our programs, see the services and activities in action and to invest in anyway possible,” she says.

Erin Greenhalgh is the Director of Human Resources. She has been in the Human Resource field for the past ten years. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and graduated from Everglades University, in Sarasota in 2006. Her HR career began locally at Flowers Baking Company of Bradenton, LLC, 8 years ago, and then became an HR Director for a small German company in Palmetto until they relocated. Erin began her career with Easter Seals Southwest Florida in July of 2008 when they added the HR Manager position.

Julie Smith is the Director of Grants and Resources for Easter Seals Southwest Florida.
Along with managing Easter Seals' donor database, Julie is responsible for all aspects of raising grant support from foundations, corporations, and government sources. Julie is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Southwest Florida Chapter and the Manatee Young Professionals Group.

Caroline Tanner is the Community Relati ons Director and has been with Easter Seals Southwest Florida for 3 years. Caroline is responsible for public relations, marketing, and special events. She has lived in Sarasota for 4 years with her husband Patrick and welcomed daughter, Isabella, to their family in September 2009.
Caroline was born in the Netherlands and spent her childhood growing up in various parts of Europe and Asia. She graduated from Bishop Rosecrans High School in Ohio and went on to Kennesaw State University, where she graduated with a Bachelors degree in Sociology with a concentration in Social and Organizational Change.

MaryAnn Zyla-Smith (MAZ) is the Director of Adult Services at Easter Seals Southwest Florida. She has been with this agency since February 2000. She initially assumed the responsibility of Director of Employment Services. Over the years since she has been here, she has provided oversight to the Adult Day Training (ADT) Program, the VIP Academy Program, and the Art Initiative Program and for a short time Residential Services. The Art Initiative Program is a concept she brought with her from her previous employment assignment at another agency.

Don Herndon is the Director of the VIP Academy at Easter Seals Southwest Florida. He has resided in Sarasota for the past 23+ years. Mr. Herndon graduated from the University of South Dakota with a BS in political science. He completed his teacher certification through a program sponsored by the School Board of Manatee County called Alternative Certification for Educators.(ACE) He is currently certified to teach Exceptional Student Education Grades K-12 and Elementary Education Grades K-6.

Susannah Cripe is the Director for Easter Seals Southwest Florida’s Project Rainbow, has been with Easter Seals Southwest Florida since 1996, and has been Program Director for Project Rainbow since 2000. Ms. Cripe has 17 years of case management and client services experience. She also serves as Easter Seals Southwest Florida’s Instructor of Safety and Education, and is a certified instructor for the American Red Cross. Ms. Cripe has a wealth of knowledge concerning community resources.

Nicole Murby, M.S. CCC-SLP Nicole Murby is the Clinical Director of Children’s Therapy for Easter Seals Southwest Florida. She was born in Michigan but spent most of her years in the Northeast in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Nicole graduated from Salem State College in Massachusetts with a B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She received her M.S. in Communication Disorders from the University of New Hampshire to become a Speech-Language Pathologist.
