Prior to coming to Easter Seals, she worked as a Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with the State of Florida for over 11 years and other prior employment includes Behavioral Specialist with adults with psychiatric challenges, Program Director for a day and residential program for adults with dual diagnoses (developmentally disabled and psychiatrically challenged) and a Vocational Specialist providing pre-vocational, job placement and case management services to adults with developmental disabilities. MAZ has enjoyed a career of over 28 years in the field of working with individuals with varying disabilities. She holds a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Human Resources Development and is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). |

MaryAnn Zyla-Smith (MAZ) is the Director of Adult Services at Easter Seals Southwest Florida. She has been with this agency since February 2000. She initially assumed the responsibility of Director of Employment Services. Over the years since she has been here, she has provided oversight to the Adult Day Training (ADT) Program, the VIP Academy Program, and the Art Initiative Program and for a short time Residential Services. The Art Initiative Program is a concept she brought with her from her previous employment assignment at another agency.
