      		   Easter Seals Southwest Florida began in 1946 as Happiness House – an organization offering help and hope to children with disabilities and their families. Today, the mission of our organization has grown along with the communities we serve, and we have expanded the services we deliver to reach across the lifespan, from birth through adulthood.

Ashley Canesse - VP of Philanthropy

Ashley Canesse is the Vice President of Philanthropy at Easter Seals Southwest Florida.  She has a lifelong passion and dedication to helping children and families triumph over challenges and adversity.

Ashley believes that giving to Easter Seals is an investment in the quality of life for others.  “We invite our community to tour our programs, see the services and activities in action and to invest in anyway possible,” she says.

“When you see the joyful, active participation of our program participants, you’ll find yourself wanting to be involved.”

Ashley has a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Arizona State University and more than 25 years of nonprofit development, marketing and management experience in Arizona and Florida.  Her areas of service have included child abuse, domestic violence, juvenile gang prevention, homelessness, and youth substance abuse prevention in the US as well as orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda.
