Robert H. MitchellRobert H. Mitchell  has been helping people increase and conserve their wealth for more than 30 years. He is CEO of Mitchell & Company, Inc., an independent life insurance agency. Bob earned his law (JD) degree, MBA and Bachelor’s degree from Seton Hall University in NJ. He is admitted to the Pennsylvania bar. He has completed intensive training at The American College in Bryn Mawr, PA and has been certified a "Special Care Planner." The SpecialCare (sm) Program helps develop strategies to address the lifetime financial requirements of special needs individuals.

He has earned the Certification in Long Term Care (CLTC), specialized training in the issues of long term care. He holds the American Jurisprudence Award for Excellent Achievement in the Study of Estate Planning. Bob has lobbied Congress on issues of Long Term Care. He was a board member of Gulf Coast Association of Health Underwriters. He served as Legislative Chair and Director of the Sarasota Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He has authored regular monthly articles about estate planning issues for “Attitudes,” an upscale Sarasota magazine.

Bob is an active community volunteer. He spearheads the move to build a baseball field for children with disabilities as President of Miracle League of Manasota. He was Board Chair of Easter Seals Southwest Florida. He was Director and Executive Committee Member of the Manasota Industry Council. He served on the Board of Directors of the Mental Health Association of Sarasota County. He served on the Endowment Committees of the YMCA Foundation and Sarasota Memorial Hospital Century Foundation. His spirited involvement with the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce includes a yearlong series of local radio spots as “The Voice of Sarasota Business.” He is a member of the Rotary Club of Lakewood Ranch. He has been active with the American Cancer Society, Junior Achievement, the Sarasota Committee of One Hundred and the Sarasota Centennial Celebration. He sings with the Chorus of the Keys (renowned A cappella Men’s Chorus) and with Talk of the Town, a barber shop quartet.
